In response to the FCA’s rules around the promotion of crypto assets, the Phuture Foundation will be geo-blocking UK consumers from accessing any of the products or services available through the websites it operates including Phuture and its subsidiaries. The geo-block will be effective on the Phuture website on 17th May 2024. This geo-block is necessary to ensure we remain compliant with the Financial Promotion Order, whilst we prepare our application to the FCA to become a registered crypto asset service provider.
Approval of our application will allow us to compliantly offer the products and services available through our websites to UK consumers. Additionally, it will allow us to more seamlessly interface with other regulated entities unlocking a number of new growth opportunities.
Existing Product Holders
If you already hold one of our index products, reside in the UK and would like to sell before the geo-block deadline then you can do so via our website or through an exchange like matcha.
After the geo-block deadline you will still be able to sell our products through exchanges or by interacting directly with the Phuture contracts. If the product you hold has been deprecated you will find instructions on how to redeem in our documentation under the deprecated product heading.
